Brendan Fraser has expressed that he wouldn’t be opposed to reprising his role as Rick O’Connell in another Mummy movie.
In a recent Deadline Actor’s Side interview, the star of The Whale discussed the success of his upcoming movie at the Venice Film Festive and the standing ovation he received, saying that the reception was overwhelming. The actor also touched on Martin Scorsese’s next movie, Killers of the Flower Moon, where he also stars alongside Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert De Niro. “That was gratifying to work with a masterful filmmaker,” he said.
Fraser is also well-known for starring in the 1999 movie The Mummy and its two sequels The Mummy Returns and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. When asked about whether he would be up to doing another potential Mummy movie in the future, citing rumors of his return, Fraser didn’t oppose the idea but didn’t confirm anything either.
“Gosh, I don’t know any juicy details about it, but, you know, it’s kinda been an open-ended question for some time now,” he said. “I’m not opposed to it.
